The Riddham Ensemble -

Senior disciples of Smt Sampada Pillai form the ensemble and represent Riddham on various prestigious platforms. Riddham is very proud of its members for their hard work , sincerity and dedication.

Ms. Mimansa Verma was initiated into the world of dance at the age of 7. During the course of her Kathak training of 12 years, Mimansa has cleared several examinations, taken part in many competitions, festivals and prestigious events. She has cleared the ABMGVM examinations upto the Madhayama Poorna level securing top positions in Bangalore (Nov 2019). She is currently a Visharad (advanced level) Kathak student and is a Kathak teacher at Riddham Kathak School, Bangalore. Mimansa has participated and won 3rd Place – Senior category in the International Kathak Competition held online by (ICDA), 2nd position – Senior Category in a Kathak Dance Competition organised by Ananda Dhwani Music Trust. She has been invited to perform in many prestigious venues for solo and group performances such as Lincoln Center, New York(2012, 2013), Ramanotsavam (2014-2016), Shilparamam, Hyderabad (2018), HubsCitySound and NBCC’s Janmashtami Festival (2020), etc. Mimansa is currently pursuing her postgraduate in Doctor of Pharmacy and has recently completed her graduation from SVYASA’s Yoga Instructor and Teacher Course (November 2020). Her hobbies out of many include reading books, baking, sketching and constantly questioning and learning about things around her.

 

Ms. Kshama Anagodumath began learning Kathak at the age of 8. In the last 8 years she has cleared Praveshika Pratham (distinction), Praveshika Poorna (distinction), Madhyama Pratham (first class), Madhyama Poorna (first class) and is currently in Visharad level in Kathak. She reached the semifinals of the Kathak Contest 2017 Bangalore held by Pandit Birju Maharaj Ji’s Kathak Institute, Kalashram. She Secured 2nd position in Kathak Dance competition organised by Ananda Dhwani Music Trust. She stood 3rd in the solo dance category at the teen Camp organised by Ryan Institutions held in Mumbai. She has been awarded the Shrestha Kala Yashswi by the Yashaswi Global Classical Dance and Music Talent Hunt. She won 1st prize in the International Kathak Competition held online by Indian Classical Dancers Association (ICDA). She is currently in 11th grade (design and science stream). She is interested in the virtual art field and designing.

Ms. Sakshi Taula began her Kathak training in 2011 at the age of 7. In the last 9 years, she has cleared Prarambhik ( distinction ), Praveshika Pratham ( first class ), Praveshika Poorna ( distinction ), Madhayama Pratham ( first class ), Madhayama Poorna ( first class ) and currently she is in Visharad level in Kathak. She secured 2nd position in the International Kathak competition held online by Indian Classical Dancers Association. She secured 1st position in a Kathak Dance Competition organised by Ananda Dhwani Music Trust. She won the Judges Appreciation Award in the Keshav Kalpa Awards competition held by Lasya Vardhana Trust. She secured 1st position in Natya Spardha organised by Kadambari Kalakshetra. She is currently in 11th grade ( science stream ) and her interests include creating wall paintings/arts, reading and baking.

Ms Kuhu Sharan began her formal dance training at age 4 with choreographer Maneesha Mehta. In 2012, She started learning Kathak under the tutelage of Guru Smt Sampada Pillai. In the last 8 years, she has performed solo and as part of the Riddham Ensemble in a multitude of prestigious events and dance festivals. She secured 3rd position in the International Kathak Competition (junior category) held online by International Classical Dancer’s Association in August 2020. She stood first in Bangalore in her Praveshika Poorna and Madhyama Pratham exams held by ABGMVM. She is currently at the Madhyama Poorna level. Along with being a meritorious student, she was the School captain in grade 10 and led her school in a variety of cultural and academic events at many levels and won prizes in yoga, acapella and poetry competitions. She is part of an entrepreneurship cell at her school. She is in 11th grade, wants to pursue scientific research and project design. Her interests include reading and elocution.

Ms. Girija Anagodumath has been training for the past 8 years . She has completed her Praveshika Pratham , Praveshika Poorna , Madhyama Pratham , Madhyama Poorna . Currently she is in Visharad level. She was a part of a choreography project with DD Chandana. It was  based on the traditions of Konkani community.She Has been awarded Shreshta Kala Yashswini the YashaswiGlobal Classical Dance And Music Talent Hunt.  She is currently working in an IT company and also conducts a ‘Womens Kathak Batch’ at Riddham Kathak School, Bangalore.
